As If August Wasn't Hot Enough

Strangely, this month I'm doing a lot of performing in theaters at normal, human, times. Like 8pm. How weird.   So for the more theatrically inclined (aka, those who don't want to be in a bar till all hours of the night) can come see me in Vaudeville Nouveau or Friends of Dorothy or, better yet, both!

On the 12th I'm performing in one of Vaudeville Nouveau's final shows. And the line up is freaking fabulous!

After three glorious years of giving NYC a perfectly good excuse to hoot, holler, gawk, laugh, cheer, sing and sizzle, Vaudeville Nouveau will be rolling up its banner and closing it's curtain for the foreseeable future. But, we are not going anywhere until we shut down the show in true vaudeville style! Three days, three shows, 17 performers!

The week of the 16th I'll performing at a hell of a lot of places including Original Cyn, Sugar Shack, and (possibly) Hellz Kitchen. But I don't have all the info for those yet SO I'll just tell you about the fringe show I'm in that week called Friends of Dorothy!

“Pasties, and Glitter, and Drag, Oh My!" Follow Dorothy from Kansas to the strange and beautiful Land of Bras, where she meets some memorable friends and foes, but none as fierce and fabulous as the Wicked Bitch of the West. Will Dorothy make it through the forest of glitter and fringe to the Wizard with her friends? Can she keep the Wicked Bitch of the West from getting her hands on the Ruby Red Pasties? Journey over the rainbow and down the yellow brick road with Dorothy as she discovers the true meaning of what it means to be home.”

Influenced by the traditions of vaudeville and circus, and bringing a fun modern edge to the classic Wizard of Oz story, “Friends of Dorothy: An Oz Cabaret” features some of the best in New York City burlesque, drag, aerialists, magic, and downtown music!
